All about journaling

We recently stayed at a hotel that’s very wellness-centered. The whole 8F is dedicated to wellbeing. There is a huge lake, outdoor gardens with a greenhouse, trees and animals. In the room, there is a list of things to do before bed – a peaceful playlist, an easy exercise, and note to “journal to find serenity in the pages, to replenished the spirit as you reflect on the day’s journey”.

I’ve kept a monthly planner since arriving in Japan. Unfortunately, those journals since 2008 were lost. Currently, I enjoy keeping multiple journals at a time, obviously beside this monthly blog. Here are the others that I absolutely love:

Here is a gratitude journal we picked up on our trip to Toronto last summer. It’s a wonderful journal with beautiful drawings and prompts so we don’t have a headache over what to write about.

This I have kept since 2020. It’s a place for my random thoughts, no theme, no direction, just my diary of sort. Always a good feeling to handwrite.

Introducing my junk journal! Super fun decompressing activity: just collect different paper pieces from my daily life and put them together on a page. I actually try to do this every morning before work to lighten the mood 🙂

Last but not least, my monthly planner for the year, also act as a “one-line-a-day” journal. The monthly section is easy to keep up with, and the daily recap is a habit to build up on. Jon’s also doing this journal, mostly catching up when he has a second to spare. It’s so much fun to read his!
