Utmost Random Thoughts

We went to Da Lat this month. Jon’s first time, my third or fourth. And I keep thinking about it since we got back. What a beautiful city to live in! The plants are so happy in the pleasantly cool weather, and the rain makes it more beautiful and romantic. What’s better than spending time together at a café, watching the rain and talking about nothing and everything? We love our children, but we do cherish these precious little times away from them so we can truly be together.

My peony cross stitch was taken to the shop to be framed. My four years of slow work. I’ve gotten 4 more to slowly work through them. Half an hour a day, to bring calmness to my mind. It’s a beautiful kind of meditation.

My extended family is welcoming a new member next month, and preparation starts now. Everyone is beyond excited. Nem and Bun seem to understand the concept of a new baby too. We can’t wait to meet baby Pho!

One of my best of best friends is getting married in November, and we got our flight tickets to be there to celebrate her new life chapter. As a matter of fact, Jon & I have not been to a wedding since ours, it’s so hard to believe but at the same time understandable because of the pandemic. We can’t wait for the big day!

We are rocking the Reading Challenge this year, both finishing 21/24 books officially in the challenge, plus other not on the challenge but highly recommended within our reads. This will be the very first year we complete the challenge and beyond. What a joy reading and sharing what we have read together has been!
