November is the Month of Gratitude. The positive state of being grateful, the overwhelming feeling of appreciation and thankfulness, and the desire to return kindness to others. As the weather changes and the year comes to and end, spending this month thinking of all I’m thankful for:
Family. 2023 has again proved that family is the utmost important thing in the world for me. My immediate family and my extended family, I’m grateful to be spending my daily life with them, thankful that they’re in good health, and thankful for all the support and love they’ve given me.
My husband. The one who has the most patience and positivity, who doesn’t believe in violence, and always look at the glass half full.
Close friends. This year I get to reunite with my friends in Vietnam and in Asia, those who matter the most to me. Friends remind me that although we’re ocean apart, and life gets in between us, we’re still friends at heart.
Me time. I’m daily thankful for the hour I make for just myself in the day. Whether it’s spent to do art and craft, to watch a show, to go to the green market, to get flowers.’
My two babies. They challenge me everyday to become a better person.
Kindness from strangers. Although not daily, it does warm my heart when I receive kindness from strangers around me. Reminds me to return kindness to others even if I don’t know them. You never know it can change one’s day and life.
Books. This year as I make more time to read, there are so many books that I couldn’t put down and was so glad I got to read them. When Breath Becomes Air, The Art of Showing Up: How to be There for Yourself, All The Lights We Cannot See, A Gentleman in Moscow, to name a few.
It’s time to start the daily gratitude journal again💓
