Japan ただいま

This is it! We got our tickets for Japan in October. I CANNOT WAIT! Looking back at one of my blog post in June 3 years ago, I was promising myself that the next time I’m back to Japan would be with Jon, and to Kyushyu. And it’s happening. Mostly thank to my beloved BFF who’s studying in Kyoto and will make her way to Kyushyu to see us. This will be an epic adventure🛫

What to do in the Onsen capital of Japan? Obviously, to enjoy hot springs. I can’t believe I didn’t visit the Hells of Beppu ( a tourist spot of 7 colorful natural hot springs in the town – for viewing, not bathing). A quick trip “back home” to APU – don’t forget to grab some swags! Then, a stroll through Beppu-eki and all the sushi I can eat🍣 Hopefully we’ll have time to do a quick trip to Yufuin too.

Since we’re in Kyushyu, more importantly, since Ying said “10” when I asked her “on a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you love Totoro?” :)) We’ll also be heading south of Kyushyu deep in the countryside to go see the life-sized Totoro by the bus stop near Miyazaki. Not sure how Jon feels about this, but we will do it regardless haha.

Before heading to Japan we also have booked for Da Nang in late September to take the kids to the beach, and for Jon to celebrate Nick’s birthday in Hoian. Then, after Japan, we will go south of Vietnam to visit mom’s relatives and aunt and uncle from GA. After that, we could take a quick breathe before heading to WA for Christmas! Almost time to start a Christmas wish list🎄❄️
