The last 10 years’ March.

We’ve been home for 4 months in a blink of an eye! Since our move, we have been able to travel here and there to make up for the no-travel lifestyle since the pandemic. I also had some time to organize my photos in Onedrive (woo!), so I thought let’s take a look where I was in March in the past 10 years.

2013. I was living my best career life as an admission representative for APU, my beloved college. I was travelling on a monthly basis to multiple cities around Vietnam, giving presentations and visiting high schools to talk about study abroad in Japan.

2014. Second semester of MaRIHE in Tampere, Finland. The snow was at its best, and very dark, there was probably sunlight for only 5 hours daily. And it snowed all the way until May. We still had a great time though.

2015. I was back home for spring break. There were actually tons of breaks during the 2-year master programs. Sometimes I travelled in Europe, but I tried to go home often to make up for not going home during my 4 years in Japan. Also, the shortest hair I’ve ever had!

2016. In Osnabruck, Germany writing my master’s thesis. Lots of time burried deep in the library. Loving all the spring flowers.

2017. Quick trip to Myanmar with Jon after our prewedding photoshoot in Saigon. Also stopped by Malaysia and Thailand. All the way excited for our wedding in May this year.

2018. Settled in Oklahoma after 6 months living in Tacoma, WA. A chapter I will never forget. We got Root Beer!

2019. Barely moved to Manhattan and immersed in the hustle and bustle of New York City. This pure pink afternoon sky without any filters.

2020. COVID hit, just like that. Moved into our “home office” with two working stations on the same dining table in our living room. First trimester with baby Haruki growing strong.

2021. Jon took his parental leave and took care of Haruki while I worked from home. The weather started to get warmer and they could have fun playdate outside. His chubby cheeks!

2022. Roadtrip to Virginia and Maryland. Entering third semester with baby Aurora kicking like a soccer player.

2023. Back home to Hanoi and just finished celebrating the kids’ first Tet. Getting used to the new life chapter and making the apartment as much of our home as we can.
