This is it, the end of 2022, one of the best years for our family as we completed our team of 4 with baby Aurora saying hello to the world. Even better, the 4 of us are now in Vietnam! With my parents’ tremendous help with the babies, we are looking forward to a new year with:
More date nights, or as Jon says, “adulting”😂 Date night is a fancy idea in the US as we’d need to pay for a baby sitter. It’s not only money, but also to leave our kids to a stranger is still a weird thought. How lucky we are to now have their grandparents here 24/7! We believe many parents can agree how a regular dine-out, where noone cries or fusses, can make all the differences.
More devotion with our “third baby” – ReWorkflow. As I’m transitioning to a part-time role at my current position with Columbia University, the journey will end in two months and I will be fully onboard with our little startup. And who knows, we might be back as a Columbia-approved vendor. Challenge accepted!
More me-time. For both of us, hopefully. The time we spent with the kids and with each other are crucial, however, we also do need time for ourselves. Growing up, I literally had never seen my parents having time for themselves, no exaggeration here. I can’t understand how they could do that. Me time definitely helps reset our body, our mind and our spirit. I need time with my plants, and Jon, probably with sports and beer🍻
More reunion. We can’t wait to catch up, hopefully mostly in person, with people who matter in our lives. Our old friends, my highschool besties, everyone who we couldn’t spend time with in the past couple of years. Seriously can’t wait!
More life-long learning. This has been our motto since forever, but I feel like I haven’t been able to learn much new things. Time to spare some time to learn something, anything, because hey, the sky is the limit!
