Holiday Season

The year-end holiday season started! This Halloween, Haruki still demands to be carried around in his baby carrier, so we made a Rocket Man outfit – by making a rocket ship from a shoebox and tie it to the carrier, and Haruki wore a cone hat. We had a blast going trick-or-treat around our neighborhood. One neighbor even created a candy canon since Covid and the kids loved it!

Me, Halloween is fun but I’m more looking forward to the day after Halloween because it’s when our house is filled with allllll the pumpkins. They are so cute in all shapes, sizes and colors. It’s impossible to have enough pumpkins🎃 We also took Haruki to a couple of farms and he enjoyed petting the farm animals while Mommy browsed through pumpkins and mums. The mums from last year got planted in the front yard also came back in gorgeous pink and yellow colors. I’m just loving the fall with everything pumpkin-spiced.

This Thanksgiving is also special as the Rowands organized our own Turkey Trot in Pennsauken. They went all out with balloons and jerseys and a planned track. Haruki joined the race with Daddy in his stroller. Grandmom waited at the finish line with me as I’m no runner. Thanksgiving dinner with a large family is always loving and fun.

Then, this Christmas will even be more special as we will be taking Haruki to Seattle. His grandparents surely can’t wait to spoil him head to toe. He’s taken his first steps and is getting better and better at walking everyday. Looks like he’ll be running and going up and down the stairs upon arriving in WA.
