Are you ready?

September this year was surely full of events. First thing first, we settled in our new home sweet home and are slowly furnishing it. Plus, all the plants I can now get! Baby gifts are also flooding in. The best thing to calm my mind while the fear of child birth rushes in is to organize baby Nem’s closets. You can’t imagine how tiny baby stuffs are! His nursery is also now furnished with a forest/plant decor theme. Loving it!

Then, I chopped about 40cm of my straight hair, hoping to donate it when I have the time to do so. Short hair checked off the list, it would make it easier to wash after the baby is born. Haven’t had hair this short since 2019!

The best things: two surprise baby showers secretly planned by Jon, one with my SPS colleagues, and one with our MaRIHE family! I thought I was just coming in a regular team meeting where everyone at SPS had a baby Zoom background, and we played some baby games. It was so heart-warming. And even better, my BFF went above and beyond to persuade me that she now has a boyfriend and she would like me to meet him on a video call. Of course she got me😂 (part of my pregnant brain, but also because that’s what I want for her the most). How amazing it is to see our MaRIHE people again even only on the screen! I’m the most grateful for these people showering us with love and best wishes.

So, hospital bag packed, home decored with fall theme (lots of pumpkins!), nursery ready, birth video watched, Seattle mom & dad are on the way. I think we are ready to be mommy and daddy! Nem, we cannot wait to meet you ❤
