I blinked and it’s already the third week of January 2020! We had a busy, but tons of fun, holiday going back to Seattle to spend Christmas time with Jon’s family and catch up with old friends there. The house is under construction, we got color lights for the first time, Mom made us a blanket and got Root Beer a Seahawks jersey omg :)) Jon got me the AirPods (which I made him return when I got it last birthday thinking it’d come with an iPhone X and that’s what I nicely hinted that I wanted!). I got him tickets to see Maroon 5. So okay, I got him what I wanted more than him, but it’s all great!
Coming back from Seattle, I started my medication on cycle 3 right on January 3rd. I was previously put on birth control pill so once stopped, cycle 3 came right away. Pills, bloodwork and ultrasound are no big deals, but when progesterone in oil injection started on January 17 oh my it hurts! The injection itself is not bad but it takes time for the oil to blend and I have never felt that soreness before. Thankfully there are only 5 shots before the transfer scheduled on January 22 afternoon! But who knows, they might want me to continue taking it after the transfer, yikes!
All in all, we’re positive and taking it easy. We have 2 frozen embryos, meaning one more try if it doesn’t work this time (I know, perfectionist who always has a Plan B!). The nurse asked me multiple times if I want to pick the baby’s sex and I pondered so much as well, but then we both decided we will not pick one. If you know my Asian mom, you technically can hear her screaming “are you kidding me? pick a boy!”. Fingers crossed that everything will go well next week!
