October 30 is my parents’ wedding anniversary. This year marks their 30th anniversary! What are their secrets that make them stay together for 30 years, growing old together? For about 20 years I lived under their roof, there was one time, the only time, I heard them fighting. The rest is just happy memory.
Yesterday, we have made our payment to RMA, and signed all the necessary paperwork. One step closer to the start of our IVF journey. My coordinator said we could start in late November, if, and only if my period is on time. Fingers crossed!
My best friend is having his first baby next Monday! How exciting! Baby Soobin (they call him Su, but I prefer Soobin okay?), I can’t wait to meet you ❤ Many other friends have been having babies too, and it hurts me, I know it should not, but it does. On a positive note, my husband keeps reminding me that we will be lucky soon. So, why being sad?
This weekend we’re flying to Atlanta to see my beloved aunt and uncle. I make a promise to myself to go see them once a year, wherever they are. Jon will also be applying to University of Georgia. If that works out, we will at least be in the same state. Right now we have Jon’s grandparents in New Jersey, and it’s amazing to be close to families and enjoy all the holidays and events together. My aunt and uncle don’t have kids, no families in the US, only friends, and we want to be family to them.
Finally, this week’s gratitude note: the gorgeous autumn weather in NYC – golden sunshine and cardigan weather, or rainy and gloomy, both are my favorites!
